City Guide - San Diego

 

Welcome to the beautiful, sunny, San Diego. Today I want to talk a little about the culture of San Diego, but before we do that I should tell you about my stay in SD. When my husband was in law school he did a summer internship there. So, I only lived there for about three months but I have been there numerous times and I love San Diego. A lot. It is definitely one of my top five favorite cities.

Okay, lets talk about the culture of SD. Because of the close proximity to Mexico it is highly influenced by Mexican culture. I love the influences in you see around the city in architecture, food and art. 

One of the fun things I love about SD is that you can wear whatever you want and it still works. People wore shorts to nice restaurants and it wasn't a big deal at all. I would say the fashion culture is quite laid back and casual. At my husband's law firm there were attorneys who wore flip flops to work.  I can't think of any other city that would let that fly.
