Stay At Home Mom
As most of you know, we live in the DC area. And I assume most of you also know about the earthquake and hurricane that we experienced last week. Conveniently we were driving out of town during the earthquake and didn't feel a thing. Then, we were scheduled to come back into town on Saturday, the day of the hurricane. Well, we extended our stay and came home Monday. Calder and I had a fabulous vacation in Columbus visiting friends, eating lots of good food and doing a bit of yard sale-ing. It was awesome. Jason went to visit family in Oregon. It was also awesome.
The only down side is that I was supposed to be in jury duty on Monday.
I totally forgot.
I didn't even call to see if my number was called.
Oops.
Well, I called today just to make sure they weren't going to arrest me (Jason's words). The lady I talked to was so incredibly nice. She looked up my number and told me that although my number was called and I was supposed to be there on Monday she arranged it so I couldn't be called to jury duty for two more years and all was fine.
You want to know why?
Because I said my occupation is 'stay at home mom'. And she thought that warranted a pass for this year. Rock on stay at home moms.
