Stitch Fix #4
I am still really loving Stitch Fix. I have dropped back to getting a fix every 6-7 weeks instead of monthly because I usually love so many things they send but choose just my very favorite so I don't spend too much each month. So, hopefully by spreading it out it will be easier to keep the things I love.
That being said, I felt like this last fix was not as stellar as the one before. I think I gave too many requests instead of just letting my stylist choose items she thinks I will love. So, here's what I got in my fix.
Ack! These jeans. They are trouser jeans, which I normally like but they were WAY too big. I think they were a few sizes too big in the waist. I think they would have been awesome otherwise.

This is the Akio Asymmetrical Zip Faux Leather Jacket. I absolutely love it. It is hard to tell in this picture but it is actually gray. It has quilted details on the arms and is so so comfortable. It's nice you can move around comfortably but still feel warm and cozy. I totally kept this one!
So, next up is this sweater. I specifically asked for elbow patches. I do love the elbow patches but not much else about this one. I don't love the color, length or neck (which you totally can't see but it is a rolled cowl neck). The length is okay but seems to hit at the widest part of my hips. Plus, it was pretty expensive. I didn't keep this one.
Up next is this pink top. I asked for tops I can layer with fall sweaters. I was hoping for button ups with collars that would peek through. This shirt is fine but not awesome. I didn't keep it.

The last thing in my box was this cheetah print scarf. I think it is fine but I always feel a little funny wearing animal prints. I seem to be okay with them on belts or shoes but not soft fabrics. I'm not sure why. I changed my profile after I got this box to say I don't want animal prints. Otherwise the scarf seemed fine, but not awesome. I didn't keep it either.
So to recap, I only kept the gray faux leather jacket. It is awesome and I have looked for ways to wear it over the last few weeks. I love it when that happens!
Oh, and one more note. I found the jacket cheaper elsewhere a few days after I got my box. I emailed them at info@stitchfix.com and they price matched. It's nice to know they value their customers enough to price match.
If you still haven't tried Stitch Fix you should. It is a lot of fun to get a box of clothes! I haven't had a box that I didn't love at least one thing. And even when I only loved one thing it was totally worth it.
