Stitch Fix #1
I recently discovered Stitch Fix and am totally crushing on this company. I received my first fix about a week ago and was totally impressed. The premise is they have stylists that choose five clothing items for you based on information you give them about your style preferences.
Dinner & Pink Tights
This is what I made for dinner last night. It is Thai Chicken Pizza and it was amazing. It has peanut sauce, all sorts of vegetables and mozzarella cheese on their whole wheat pizza dough. I found the recipe here on Trader Joe's website.
Mad Men Sew-Along
I used chartreuse taffeta and a lace overlay for the bodice and skirt. I made a sash, hem and collar just from the taffeta. It is hard to see but I did the pearl button detail down the skirt that I mentioned on my initial sew-along post.
Mad Men Sew-Along with Presser Foot
One of my favorite sewing blogs, Presser Foot is hosting a sew-along with a Mad Men theme. There are about 25 people participating and I"m excited to see what they come up with!
Dress design for Shabby Apple dresses
This is my dress design for Shabby Apple dresses /Dare to Design/ competition. I first heard about the competition last year, but I didn't feel comfortable enough with my sewing skills to enter the competition.
Amy Butler's Anna Tunic
This is Amy Butler's Anna Tunic pattern. I so love it. I love the style. It is incredibly comfortable and easy to add a cardigan over or a shirt under. The pattern can be a cami, tunic, mini dress or knee length dress. I chose the knee length dress.
