From Brown Paper Packages to Me to Haiti

You may remember this post a while back about the flannel scraps I won from Brown Paper Packages. Well, I have been working on a very cute quilt out of them. I love the way it turned out.

This was an amazing amount of scraps! It did the front, back and binding of a larger baby sized quilt.

This is hard to see but it is a hand stitched bird. I love it!
I just heard about a woman collecting blankets for a church group going to Haiti in March. The trip was planned before the earthquake and the group is still planning to go. She happens to live here in Columbus but is willing to give anyone an address who would like to send blankets to her. So, if you have any new blankets of any kind feel free to contact her here. I am so excited to be able to provide such a cute blanket for them to take. I'm sure it will make someone very happy. Thanks again to Brown Paper Packages. Who knew the scraps would go so far?
