Yellow Cords

These are by far my favorite pair of pants I've made for Calder yet. I think it's all the contrast stitching. It doesn't hurt that it lines up and everything. They are a bit big but that's because I want them to fit through the Summer. From my Summer sewing list these are the pants that can be rolled up to shorts. They are the same pattern as the gray shorts but with length added and different back pockets.

The pockets are lined with a fun plaid cotton that I plan to make a shirt out of. Calder loves the front pockets. He spent the day putting stuff in them.

I really like the fabric. It is a yellow fine whale corduroy. I LOVE corduroy. I know it is often thought of as a Winter weight fabric but in a fine whale and a soft yellow, I think it works.
