Robe

I'm slowly but surely whittling down my list of Summer sewing projects. As you may recall I wanted to make a robe for Calder to wear after his bath and at the pool. This is the cutest cotton terry cloth I've seen in a long time. I would wear something out of it. I love that it's not cartoonish or even childish but seems appropriate. It is white with black birds in flight on it.

He loves it. He wants to wear it after bath time and pretty much any time I let him. I'm considering putting a draw string in the hood so it gets smaller as needed, but I'm not sure yet, so I'll probably just leave it.

I know the day will come where Calder doesn't want me to make anything for him. That will be sad. I'm really enjoying how excited he gets when I make something for him.
