San Diego City Guide - Wrap Up
I know I don't really have to tell you how awesome San Diego is. I'm sure you know. The weather is amazing, the food is good, the sunsets are amazing and it smells amazing. Every time I fly there I notices how good it smells as soon as I leave the airport. Amazing I tell you.
So, I thought I would tell you some of the fun and extravagant things we did while we were living there as my final recap. If this doesn't make you want to visit (or live) I don't know what would.
My favorite thing was hot air balooning. If you haven't had the chance to do this, do it. It is well worth it. Although to be fair and honest I didn't pay for it, so I'm not sure how much it costs, but I'm sure it's still worth it.
I have never seen a more amazing sunset than the one I saw from the balloon. It is so nice to have a different perspective of neighborhoods and landscape from that high.
Off to the races!
We had a fun afternoon at the Del Mar races. It was a lot of fun to cheer on a favorite horse and eat delicious food. One of the guys we went with would go buy 4-5 tickets and randomly hand them out so we would all have a favorite horse. It was a fun experience.
You should definitely take surfing lessons. These we did pay for and they were also well worth it. I don't remember how much it was but I do remember thinking it was worth the money. Jason and our good friends, Danielle & Max took a lesson from an instructor who would help them get started on a wave and then they would stand up and ride it in. It looked so fun!
So, why didn't I take surfing lessons? Because I looked like this:
Surfing while pregnant is not recommended, especially if you haven't ever done it before. But surfing is still on my list of things to do someday.
So, get yourself to San Diego and do something you can't do at home. Whether it be surfing, hot air ballooning, sky diving, whatever. You won't regret it.
