I've been doing a few inexpensive home projects lately. As I've mentioned before we only have 715 square feet in our apartment so there is a limit to the number of home projects I can do. Somehow I still manage to keep changing it to make it closer to what I want.
Nothing New Week 4 & Latest Etsy Love
I feel like I'm in my groove with not buying anything new. It's going really well. Although this week I ran into a gray area question. I wanted some gray nail polish. Ultimately I decided not to get it since it was an impulse buy and I don't really think it goes into the household necessities category with things like laundry detergent and deodorant.
Latest Thrifting Find
I have had some funny luck with the thrift store lately. It's rather hit or miss, which is fine. since it is really close and I enjoy looking. The other day I went on a whim with a friend and didn't find much but I was lucky enough to see these earrings.
Thursday In The Know: Sewing Cafes
Sewing cafes are popping up all over the place but not close enough to me. I recently read about a cute little sewing spot in Paris called Sweat Shop that offers sewing machines rentals by the hour.
Potholders for Prudent Baby
Have you heard of Prudent Baby? They have adorable projects, yummy recipes and amazing giveaways. They are currently giving away TWO amazing Brother sewing machines. All you have to do is make a potholder using their potholder tutorial as a basic start. No problem. I made two. You know, double the chances.
Small House Tour Part 1
I'm going to start showing you my house, one part at a time. My husband and I, along with our 2 year old son live in a 715 square feet, one bedroom apartment. It's small but very well designed and if I do say so myself, quite organized.
Stroller Sausage
It's cold here. I want to continue to go and do as much as possible and I was tired of stuffing a blanket into the stroller so I made a stroller sausage! I used thrifted orange wool for the exterior and thrifted white knit for the inside. It should be toasty warm and soft on the inside.
Megan's Dress
Calder has a little friend named Megan who had her first birthday party this weekend I adore Megan's mom and since she is also a seamstress I wanted to do something she would appreciate. So, I whipped up this dress using Simplicity 2574.

Shabby Apple + Me = Love
